Food, yuck
It has been a lousy day. Since yesterday they changed my diet my food comes in smaller batches, instead of dripping all day via a machine. The food is given to me manually, using a special syringe which connects via a tube directly to my stomach, but every time a new batch of food is administered I feel sick.
My doctors and the nutritionist say this is normal while my stomach gets used to the new feeding regime. But I feel nausea all day while this goes on and I feel low in spirits and energy.
Also, I haven’t been getting enough sleep and it has affected my day-to-day. My dizziness is worse than ever and I don’t feel like doing anything. Everyone insists that getting up and having a walk is the way to go, but I really have been doing it only very sporadically. Dizziness I can (somehow) deal with, but if you add an upset stomach it’s just too much.
Now even the bed, my last place of rest, feels gone. I know that lying down usually means food, and food means nausea.
As I said, not a good day
